WHERE IS KOH LANTA?

Koh Lanta is an island just south-east of the Phuket and Phi Phi Islands. Koh Lanta is a part of the National Marine Park of Thailand that is situated in the Krabi province.

HOW TO GET TO KOH LANTA?

Flights:
As well as an international airport in Phuket, there is also another international airport in Krabi. There are several flights daily from Bangkok (Thai Air & AirAsia Airlines www.airasia.com). Airport transfers by mini-van can be arranged from Phuket or Krabi. Please contact us for more information:  scuba@lantadiver.com

Boat Ferry:
Between November and April each year, there is a boat ferry twice a day from Phuket and Krabi to Koh Lanta.

Bus or Van:
There are daily mini-van transports from Phuket, Krabi and Hat Yai or Trang straight to Koh Lanta. To get to Koh Lanta there is two car ferries that go between the mainland and another smaller island (Lanta Noi) before you get to the main Koh Lanta island (Lanta Yai).

KOH LANTA GENERAL INFORMATION
The climate on Koh Lanta is generally 30 degrees Celsius. The water is between 28 - 30 degrees Celsius with a visibility of 20-30m average. The Island has a number of private beaches with private bungalows surrounded by palm trees. Koh Lanta has everything to offer from simple bungalows to five star resorts and spa's. Koh Lanta has a remarkable selection of different restaurants and beach bars all facing west for the most breathtaking sunsets!
 
Koh Lanta is kept remote and free from mass tourism that is experienced in Phuket and Phi Phi. This makes Koh Lanta the perfect location for an Instructor Development Course. On Koh Lanta there are no distractions, the atmosphere is very relaxed and gives you the feeling that you are, in fact, on a beautiful and tropical island.

WHERE IS BUNAKEN ISLAND?

Bunaken Island is just west of Manado City on the north-western part of North Sulawesi. Bunaken Island is part of the National Marine Park of Indonesia. The island is surrounded by a 600m wall drop-off that boasts an amazing variety of marine life.

HOW TO GET TO BUNAKEN ISLAND?

Flights:

Boat Ferry:
When you arrive at Manado International airport, you can arrange with Two Fish Divers transportation to Manado City by bus. Two Fish Divers have daily boat services to Bunaken Island from Manado City. The bus ride from the airport to Manado is about 45min and a further 50min boat ride to Bunaken Island. 

BUNAKEN ISLAND & LEMBEH GENERAL INFORMATION
The climate on Bunaken Island generally 30 degrees Celsius. The water is between 28 - 30 degrees Celsius with a visibility of 20-30m average. The Island is surrounded by a 600m drop-off wall that starts 50m from the beach. As you can imagine this gives divers and snorkelers easy access to the water and walls.  Bunaken Island has it's own village. Most guests choose to spend most of their time near the resort and dive center which is located right on the beach front. 
 
Bunaken is also kept remote, free from mass tourism and simple.  This makes the island a perfect location for an Instructor Development Course. The atmosphere is very relaxed and gives you the feeling that you are, in fact, on a beautiful and tropical island, surrounded by amazing reef walls with dive sites just minute away.
