For those serious about becoming a technical instructor and joining the ranks of DSAT technical instructors, the Tec Deep Diver Instructor course is an obvious choice. The DSAT Tec Deep Diver Instructor course incorporates instructional philosophies and course goals that directly address the demanding and challenging nature of technical diving.

Before you can apply for your Tec-Deep Instructor rating you must first meet these prerequisites:

• Be a renewed PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer
• Be a PADI Enriched Air Specialty Instructor
• Be a PADI Deep DIver Specialty Instructor
• Be certified as a DSAT Tec Deep Diver
• Have assisted at least 2 DSAT Tec Deep courses or one Level 1 and one Tec Deep course.
• Have minimum 270 Dives with 25 Stage Decompression dives deeper than 40m
• Have certified at least 10 or more PADI Deep divers and/or PADI Enriched Air.

Advantages of completing the Tec Deep Instructor Course...

• When applying directly for your DSAT Tec Deep Instructor rating, you need to assist at least 2 DSAT Tec Deep courses. Doing the Tec Deep Instructor course with a Tec Deep Instructor Trainer, counts as one assist. Therefore you only have to assist with one additional course.

• You get hands on experience teaching real Tec Deep students under the supervision of a Tec Deep Instructor Trainer. Working with Tec Deep students, handling logistics, over see planning and conduct training dives ... is valuable!! Especially when you start teaching the Tec Deep course on your own.

What will I do during the DSAT Tec Deep Instructor Course?

The DSAT Tec Deep Instructor course prepares candidates to conduct the Tec Deep Diver course and addresses the philosophy organization, practical considerations, promotion and other aspects of teaching the Tec Deep course. To successfully complete the Tec Deep Instructor course, candidates must complete..

• Tec Deep Standards and Procedures exam.
• Tec Deep theory exam.
• Candidates must also assist 2 Tec Deep courses for the teaching experience, or one Tec Deep course if doing it with a Tec Deep Instructor Trainer.
• Conduct a Tec Skill circuit from training dives conducted during the Tec Deep course.
• Present Knowledge Development sessions including use of Decompression software.

Included in your Tec Deep Instructor course at Lanta Diver...

• One full Tec Deep course assist (You will only need 1 assist since your course will be conducted by a DSAT Tec Deep Instructor Trainer)
• 12 Dives = 6 Day trips on the boat including breakfast & lunch

• At the Tec Deep Instructor level you are expected to have your own tec diving equipment, however Lanta Diver will provide you with double tank manifolds, gases needed for the Tec Deep course and 100% Oxygen regulators. Should you require any other tec diving equipment it will be available for a small rental fee.
• The Tec Deep Instructor course is conducted in conjunction with a Tec Deep course.
• Duration of Tec Deep Instructor course is expected to be 9 days, it is possible that the course could take longer to complete due to tec student schedules.
